Just think about all the ways technology is changing our lives. It’s there at the checkout in the supermarket, at the bank machine, the ways we plan our journeys or even listen to music.

It’s nothing short of a revolution, and it’s transforming education too. Schools and colleges have invested millions in technology. The trailblazers have found ways to use that technology to make learning more exciting, rewarding and enjoyable. It shows in their results.

But we must do a lot more. We need to make sure that everyone understands the positive impact that technology can have in education, how it can help all learners fulfil their potential and build a better future for the nation.

Armed with that knowledge, we want parents and learners themselves to ask their schools and colleges how they are moving to next generation learning. It’s their right.

That’s what the Next Generation Learning campaign is all about. You’ll find all you need to know on this site. Get on board today.

Improving teaching

£694 million worth of productive teacher time would be gained if all schools used learning platforms effectively.

Driving up standards

Some 11-year-olds at schools using interactive whiteboards are more than seven months ahead of those at schools which don't.

Saving time

At least 300,000 hours a year could be saved in colleges by using technology effectively to record and analyse student achievement.
