In today’s competitive global market, employers need a workforce that is flexible, highly skilled and capable of continuing to learn and develop, as well as confident users of technology.
Technology can help your employees to continuously learn and develop whether at home or in the workplace – and boost your business.
Using technology more effectively can engage your employees, and put them in charge of how and when they learn, reducing the need for them to take time off work to learn as they would do on a conventional training course.
Use the checklist to see how technology can help training and development for your business.
Sheffield-based learning provider In Touch Care is helping people and organisations tackle skills shortages.
The company provides a range of programmes including BTEC National Diplomas in health and social care, apprenticeships and advanced apprenticeships for industry and a number of learning programmes for adult learners.
It has also created digital technology suites, including a virtual hospital and day nursery, as well as computer driven mannequins to simulate patient symptoms and responses.
In the first four months of operation, monthly ‘learning visits’ have attracted more than 300 employers and many schools and colleges. “Sharing best practice with other providers as widely as possible benefits everyone,” says In Touch Care founder and former nurse, Jo North.
