Technology can offer many opportunities to help you build your skills for work, regardless of your chosen career. Look for a good learning provider who provides access to a range of technology so you can learn at a pace and place that suits you.
A good learning provider will:
- provide online help, advice and information to help you study and learn outside the main hours of your programme, giving you greater flexibility when you combine working and learning.
- give you access to a wide range of technology to support your learning, for example online tutorials which save time in travelling, or computers to help you prepare assignments more easily.
- use a range of technologies to help you keep in touch with your tutors, experts and other learners, for example via email and discussion groups.
- make an online portfolio (e-portfolio) available to help you access, store and retrieve course materials, assignments and other work where and when you want to.
